When a member of this sacred fraternity finds themselves beleaguered, as has been the lamentable plight of senior journalists and editors, we intervene with vigour and resolve to effectuate their protection. It is entirely unconscionable that journalists be subjected to persecution for information not personally disseminated by them but rather published under the imprimatur of their employing newspapers and broadcasting entities.
